Sincerely to my image, WOMAN

When you look at me what do you see? I am more than just my body. Do you really see me? You say you do but I clearly can tell that you don't. It's obvious when you look at me you see someone you can lay with, someone you can penetrate her cortex and have sex with.

You don't see me at all! You see someone that can bare your kids, you see someone that can cook your meals. You see someone that can clean for you someone that will obey your rules. You don't see someone that can contribute anything meaningful in this life. I am not content with only being just a wife.

So you expect me to be home when you get there. So you expect me to make sure all the food is cooked and prepared. You expect me to shut my mouth and just be pretty as I fix my hair I become giddy. Dizzy Dizzy because you don't want me to be myself cause You say I'm not a lady. How in the hell do you know what a real lady is? Please shut your fucking mouth and stay out of my business.

I can't tell you how to be you, so don't tell me how to be me. But we don't address the fact that you become hypnotized by watching my booty. So you call me a HOE because I like my skirt short yet my counterparts can't even walk to school without being snatched and raped by you!

You violate my rights and even my body on some spiritual high cause you seem to think it'll bring you closer to GOD. What if women did the same to you, your ass would run and cry! To tell everyone that has an ear just to hear yourself SHOUT... I'm a MAN this much is clear.

As the old saying goes what is good for the goose is good for the gander STOP don't fill my head with your bullshit propaganda. When you look at me what do you see? Frankly i'm not really sure anymore because the world has destroyed me.

 Sincerely to my image, WOMAN.

"I MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR WHO I AM"

Why does the world focus on my flaws as a women? Why am I objectified on the tv screen, on the radio, in my own home...hell in the world period? Am I not human? No one is perfect. I am happy in this skin. I am beautiful at any size. I give birth to life, I raise our families. I tend to our husbands needs, I even raise kids as a single mother. I run major corporations and make hard decisions everyday.

Why belittle me when I am the foundation and glue that holds everything together. I may have stretch marks, cellulite, baby pouch, fatty thighs or a big ass. None of that compares to my heart is strong, my mind is educated. I battle criticism every damn day without a tear shed. I paint my face with a smile even though my heart aches. I am more than my looks, my body and a homemaker.

I am a strong beautiful intelligent being...I am a perfectly flawed woman.  I make no apologies for who I am. I know that I am an endangered species. This world needs to stop tearing me down and try building me up.

Women are far more than the world gives us credit for!

My Future On My Terms!

One of my favorite quotes; when life gives you lemons just make lemonade. Maybe your puzzled of how random that quote just was but there is always a method to my madness.

In my life I have experienced some difficult trials and tribulations.
I am blessed to have the ability to find inspiration through most of my hard times. Born to an abusive drug addicted mother and alcoholic father, I found myself kicked out on the streets and homeless by age 14.

The streets provided a rude awakening for such an impressionable young lady. Attacked many times on different levels then I care to remember. I shouldn't be here...I should not be alive right now.
I know God saved me! He chose me to share my story with whomever had ears and an open heart to receive the message.

A message of hope, one of inspiration filled with the words of a survivor.  I am no one's victim. I made up in my mind early on that I would rewrite my future. I refuted the life I was force fed as a child. In and out of foster care like a child on a bad roller coaster ride. I made it my mission to receive my education by any means necessary. I put myself through college, received 3 different degrees.

An entrepreneur by design. I started my company Diamonds in The Ruff Body Imagery because of my passion for fashion. Fashion is where I have always found my voice of expression through my own personal style.

No longer will I sit idle on the sidelines looking dainty and pretty. I will use my voice, my story and power to guide those in the world that feel lost. The powerless, abused, homeless, afraid, abandoned and judged. This is for everyone that life may have dealt a bad hand. I prevailed not because of handouts but because of my will power to rise above the bullshit I am a victim speech that most people fall back on.

Victimized by many...but I sing no victim song. My song I sing loud and proud is one of survival and wisdom. I rose above my situations because I refused to become just another victim of circumstances. My motivation was to show those that counted me out that even a dark horse still has the opportunity to comeback strong and win the race!
